It's finally cooling off to where life is starting to appear again. Such a beautiful time of year here in the valley.

I went out shooting Saturday morning (ok, even if it was just in our relatively small front yard) and was able to nab a few butterfly shots. Even though the lighting is harsh, the colors are still vibrant and crisp.

Awesome green hues in the background, and those bits of red add a nice touch too. Beautiful.

Very nice shot. It certainly is a beautiful time in the valley, sad that it only lasts a matter of weeks at most.

Beautiful colors and crystal clear! I like the way the bright colors in the flowers bring out the color in his wing. I love our "second Spring" in Arizona!

Hey great shot! Monarchs are easy to spook so you got a fabulous shot here. Great color DoF and color saturation, too!

Brilliant shot. You took advantage of a great opportunity (even better if you didn't have to even leave the yard!)
