The hike Saturday went well. This is looking South (I think) from about 4300ft (the base of the mountain (where we started) was around 2000 ft (asl). It was very beautiful, as we stayed at the top (about 500ft from the actual summit) for sunset. But hiking down in almost total darkness (using flashlights, of course) with several hundred foot drops only feet from the often only slightly marked, and sometimes un-marked "trail" was a bit intimidating. Ok, maybe it wasn't *that* bad; we (Brent and I) did meet another couple with a flashlight coming down behind us, but I would reccomend descending the steepest parts before sunset if possible. :)

More shots to come!

What hike is this exactly? Kind of looks like the McDowels but somewhat not. Great shot.

Wow, what a vista! That's got to be some nice hiking, but if it's that remote, it would be way too much hiking for me, and so its great to be able to just see the fruits of your labor.
