Ok, so it wasn't quite the summit, but it was fairly close in height. As you can see, and it should be no surprise, the desert is brown and lifeless. A few shrubs remain, but the rest of the desert floor has already prepared for winter. I look forward to Spring (specifically spring break), which is the one time of the year when the brown, barren desert suddenly comes to life. You would probably have to live here to appreciate the drastic change. I can't not wait.
That cliff face is about a 2000 ft drop by my estimate. For those of you east of the Rockies, a massive height...for those of you west of the Rockies...just a simple hop. :)

its dry as a desert where i live for about 8 months of the year so I can understand - i looove it when it finally rains.
