It's been a busy week, going to be a busy week, and I'm still picking from the archives. This shot was actually taken Christmas Day, 2004.

In the process of becoming a better photographer (a process that is hopefully still taking place), I look back through my archives and often see things in shots that I did not recognize before just due to a less trained eye. Not to say that my shots back then were "good", but part of photography is developing photographs and recognizing good shots.

Most photographs (this one included) in which I do find myself discovering some previously hidden worth usually require cropping as my skills (specifically framing in this case) still left something to be desired...experience, of which I still have very little and hopefully continue to acquire more with practice.

Yes, you keep getting better. My best stuff looks like nothing compared to your mediocre stuff.

I really like the effect of looking up in the sky--but focusing on the leaf.

Wow...very nice Thinking back to some of your very first photos, and what you're doing now... i am shocked at how much it's improved!!!!!! :) Can't help but notice that this photo was taken on christmas.... if christmas here looked like that... well... it'd be wonderful!!!
