I did some portraits yesterday for some friends of ours. It was my first time doing portraits, so I was a bit nervious how they would turn out. This shot was taken with a monolight from the right and a wireless speedlight aimed at a reflector on the left.

This is 4-month-old Kendall, who did quite a good job of sitting still during the shoot. It was quite hilarious having everyone trying to make her smile and she'd still stare back with a straight face (I'm glad I didn't have that job). I just love baby expressions; they're so confident and have so much depth too them.

Great portrait. I love little babies expressions - she looks sooooo excited and happy, her little hands clenched with joy. Nice capture.
