The long shutter speed on this shot was due to the maximum aperature value. I had it on a tripod, so it really didn't matter.
The right side does fade out, but it was helped along with various burning adjustments. I'm not sure if I'm totally happy with the clarity in this shot even though it is f/32. It's no the DOF but more just the look of the cactus that could appear sharper. I used my reflector in these series of shots, but I'm still not sure about the lighting. It works, but I think it could have been better. Having said that, I do like this image, and am pleased, for the most part, with how it turned out.

Now this is a good macro. Very thoughtful, geometric, symmetrical, and well framed. I absolutely love the negative space in this shot. Makes the left third very important to the eye. Great shot.

You can't fool me. this is a space shot of the Directed Multi-linear Deep Space SETI Probe, located in central New Mexico. You got this from the NASA web site, didn't you?

Hmm, is that texture the cactus or the digital grain? Very cool contrast.

I still don't get why everything in Arizona is sharp and pokey :P
Nice contrast in this pic.

love the dark side as contrast here, and the height of the shot, vertical lines broken up by those spikey bits....good shot.

Really cool pic. I realize that "really cool pic" doesn't do this justice, but that's what comes to mind. You have a very unique style and I enjoy it a lot. Keep up the fanstatic work, my friend!
