I took another 140 photos (all RAW) yesterday evening, though most were duplicates of the same shot with different lighting, etc. I did a fair amount of experimentation with my reflector including this photograph in which I placed the reflector on the lower right side of the frame in order to even out the sun's light (coming from the top right) as well as add color and depth to the withered pedals. It was a good 90 degrees out this evening when I went out to shoot. Getting warmer...
I took many daisy pictures, but even though the lighting and colors turned out very nice, the composition in most of them was quite lacking, so I'm not sure if I'll post any from that batch, though I may post another couple from yesterday evening...depends on what I get tomorrow...
Even though they have some redeeming aspects, yesterday's and today's photos aren't the greatest, so come Monday, hopefully I'll have some better shots to post. Just an idea, but what does everyone think of having "suggested music" to go with the photographs? I can see benifits and drawbacks, so let me know what you think...Margaret especially. ;)
On a side note, I did add wallpaper to yesterday's entry.

wow man, thats insane, the detail and the break from the norm (in that the daisy's dead) is great, especially with the lighting. Favourite shot of the day, easily

You killed my daisy! Haha... ok, so the flower is very sad... but the detail is awesome and the photo itself is good...

Nice shot, I love the depth of field...and the lighting is really well done!

That's great! I like the color and detail. Very good! What do you use as a reflector? I've never tried shooting with one before but now that you mention it seems like it could be very useful.

I agree that the flower itself is rather sad looking, but the picture has amazing clarity. honestly, it made me want to go fix a cup of camommile tea. mmmm.
and I love the idea of suggested music to go with pictures! Wiracocha by Kusi Taki goes well with this picture. It's from their first album and there's something lonely and sad but clear and joyful about it. find it, if you can (kind of obscure band). good music.

this is very well composed, as you said , recently that you'd taken a lot that you weren't happy with. the background (which I think lots of photographers over look) is perfect. Keep 'em coming
