I'm running out of good titles...hence the absence of one today. I used overlay blending to adjust the contrast/saturation again. I'm really starting to like this method for this type of lighting. I slightly enhanced the sky a bit with a levels gradient; even though it looks like it's diagonal, it's actually vertical. If you look hard enough, you can see what is not there. ;)
This photo is lacking in subject rather than composition, in contrast with the day before yesterday's post. The tree is rather boring and the background a little busy, but as far as composition I think this one does ok.
In other news, I installed thermal compound on my (P4) cpu today. Instead of idle/max temperatures of 45°/90° C before installation, I am now getting around 28°/49° C (the P4 maxes out at around 90 degrees, automatically slowing itself down). I think my unusually high temps might have had a little to do with all the dust on my heatsink as well...haha. I normally wouldn't mention tech stuff in my photoblog, but this was too good pass up! Blog post with the details coming soon.

Absolutely gorgeous! And I don't see the tree as boring... I look at it as a subject that has so many stories to tell, I look at it is as an old friend who has observed so many things in it's life-children, playing frizbee in the field, young couples having picnics underneath it's shade, and I am sure there are many good book read in it's presence. The subject has more depth than you realize.

It's that little whisp of cloud in the upper right that does it for me. Great work.

I love how technical you get on your shots. A great inspiration to me.
As far as this shot, There is something about it that really makes it work. I think the fact that there is so much sky is really neat. Great work on the post processing, as always :)

The clouds above are very nice...it enhances the blue. The tree on the bottom left kind of distracts me...along with the pole out of the tree. Maybe try different angles...maybe it wasnt posssible with out losing the light on the tree. I hope this helps...just my 2cents.
