Thanks for all the wonderful comments on yesterday's photo! I went shooting with Abe from Pinholemedia this past evening in downtown Phoenix. I ended up with some decent skyline panoramics among other things. I haven't had a chance to upload them yet; it's already 1:30AM, and I've got to take my parents to the airport at 4:30 (AM), so finding time to sleep should be interesting.

I haven't done any panoramics from RAW images yet, but I am looking forward to it as I expect that the post processing will be a breeze (once I find the perfect combination)...by applying specific settings to all the images in the entire batch including white balance, exposure, contrast, etc. I just hope my tripod was level...

Depending on whether I get any good shots from my recent outing, you may see another mailbox tomorrow; but hopefully not if all goes well.

I apologize for not sending out any emails...I'll get on it as soon as I can.

Beautiful colors. I like the dark orange contrasting with the light yellow of the mailbox.

Very strong shot Ryan and offers good colour contrast between mailbox and landscape. Good choice of time to take with the great soft light. Wonder if it might look any stronger if taken at an even lower angle or cropped at the top slightly? Just so the emphasis is kept on the mailbox and not too distracted by the great sky. Just a thought.

Hey! Great shot. The lighting again here is great. It gives such a calming feel to it. The color of the sky is great too. Nice shot.

absolutely love that light, picking out the edges and shadows in the grass leading up to that sky...man that sky.

I like how you've captured the beautiful light during the golden hour. It really pays to wait for a shot like this. Lighting makes all the difference in the world.

This shot reminds me of home. I kinda miss it now that I see this.

If you know the artist, Edward Hopper you will know why I mention him. I am sure he might have wanted to paint this. Here is one example

Wonderful colours, that graduating blue sky is marvellous. I've just started to work in RAW myself, and getting the hang of it hasn't been easy - but the results are amazing :)
