Abe and I went shooting today after putting the final touches on his new photoblog, scheduled to be released tomorrow. We are both excited!

This photo was taken yesterday during our shoot. It is yet another attempt to extend my style into different areas. Normally I'm not good a this kind of thing (extending my horizons), but I do believe this one came out quite well.

There is obviously some postprocessing done. I created a channels adjustment layer the image (desaturation alone didn't give me the dark, contrasted bricks that I wanted). I then created a mask for the phone booths and applied it to the mask on the channels adjustment layer. The color "cuts through", as it were.

Thanks to Abe again for the inspiration and for assistance with the title. Note: I am changing the title of april 29 to something slightly different as "Twins" fits this one quite well.

This is by far my favorite pic you've done, and, one of the most interesting and best pics I've seen on the web, period. GREAT shot!

Extending your horizons was definitely worth the effort!

Really interesting color channeling :)

The contrast between dark top and bright bottom of the picture, cut in the middle with something refreshing as..use of color :) or when eye catches the horizontal pattern, phone booths break it with their vertical composition.

I particularly like the desaturated appearance of the bricks against the strong blues. Very nice.

The color of the phones is so vibrant--good post processing work. As for the composition, it's a job well done.

Cute! Often the color thing can be a gimmik, but this really works...

Interesting, somewhat provocative, good composition... a pretty good photo! The postprocessing is pretty good. Makes the booths stand out, of course.

It's interesting... I don't know, it doesn't jump out at me. Good expansion of horizons though, keep it up.

This is a great image. Who can resist things in pairs? It humanizes a pair of telephones into a couple of some sort. Very nicely spotted.
