"Spring Walk"
General: 12:01 PM on 5/4/05 | Canon 300D
Technical: 1/2000sec | f/3.2 | 100mm (160mm) | ISO-100
Exposure Mode: Av (Aperture Priority)
Exposure Bias: -2/3
Flash: No

Making use of mid-day lighting again. This was shot in the shadow of some trees. The aperture is f/3.2 which is slightly smaller than it could have been. I wanted to emphasize the dof in this shot, but I also wanted clarity in the leafs, so I lowered my angle to the ground and decreased the aperture slightly. It came out very nice, I think.

Caterpillar shots are coming...someday...

When I looked yesterday the thermometer registered 99.5° Fahrenheit. It's starting to get up there...

I would like to congratulate Abe Savona on his new photoblog, pinholemedia, which is now officially released! I encourage you to check it out; he's got a some wonderful pictures and a great eye for photography.

Nice colors. The brown against the yellow is very nice, and I like the richness of them both. Nice shot.

My first thought was "wow" and that's as far as I could get for a bit. It probably helps that I'm in love with trees and leaves in general, but this is incredible. The colors are brilliant and the focus is so clear on the leaf. I love it, what else can I really say? Well, except that now I'm listening to "Don't Say Goodbye" by Third Day and the feel of the songs fits quite well (and yes, the beginning of the song talks about leaves . . . ). Good stuff. :^)
