Another monochromatic image, and certainly not the last. I chose sepia for the coloring again. To me it looks better, though not much difference.
I was hoping to get a few *opinions* on yesterday's post; maybe next time? Anyways, here are a few more b&w's while I sort through my landscape shots.
Currently Playing: "Tito Manlio", an opera by Antonio Vivaldi. I'm not a huge fan of operas but most are at least worth listening to once; this one is good so far. And no, I don't understand it. :P

outstanding! The placement of the white object in a black field looks wonderful!

The black background makes the white little flowers come out better..... nice one.

I love opera. it's the music of passion. And today's shot? Amazing, it made me think of space, dark and empty and yet, here we see something seemingly growing out of nothing. In this case, flowers. Which probably has more to do with the subtle sepia tones than anything.

Very artistic presentation. Love it!

The sepia works really great with the flower. The image itself is a little soft, but works well here. I personally wouldn't have sharpened it.
How did you get the background so black?

'Simply' beautiful. The contrast and light falloff make this image quite memorable for me.

Thanks for all your comments.
Michael: The already dark green background was easily converted into black during the blue channel extraction. Perhaps I overuse the channels tool, but I think it makes for nice effects without having to selectively paint all over the place.

Very fragile treatment.. nice. As for yesterday's photo, don't worry about lack of comments... sometimes the perfect shots just leave people without words. ;)

Excellent. That is really a B/W image! Almost no greyscale! I like the sepia touches too.

Tanja: thanks for commenting; I wasn't really dissapointed with the number of comments just that I was hoping people would give me their opinions on which photo they liked best.

Oh, I wanted to make my comment on this yesterday, but I kinda busy and tired. At least I have a chance now.
Greatly composed. Nice DoF! Beautiful B&W. Good background! Conclusion: GREAT!
