"Lonely Game"
General: 2:28 PM on 7/18/04 | Canon 300D
Technical: 1/250sec | f/10.0 | 55mm (88mm) | ISO-200
Exposure Bias: -1/3
Flash: No

2nd in a the series; I actually came up with a title for this one (instead of "Golf Course 2"). Same post-processing techniques as yesterday's, so see yesterday's post for notes and technical details. Sorry the colors don't match exactly...drives me nuts, but I don't have my entire life here on this earth to go colormatching stubborn greens. I'm not sure whether to post another golf shot or to wrap up the series with this photo. I realized yesterday after posting that I should also mention Alec Long from Shutter and Pupil as inspiration for this series.

Note: "The Lab", my future second photoblog, is currently under development. It will be run by pixelpost (as the code for this site is suitable for only 1 photo per day...which was the original intent).

Yeah, I know...such an original name, but I couldn't come up with anything else, and "the lab" is really what it is: a place for experimentation...well, that and a few other things. Hopefully it will be done by early next week, but no guarantees.

the green is so green! (yea, i know i said that in your previous entry as well but, it's sooo green!). i think the high contrast kinda washed away some details on the trees. still a nicely done photo. great work.

Haha. Good use of space. Yeah, I'm with genedavinci. It's sooo green. It looks like a football field. Hehe!

I like the richness of the photo... and "Lonely game" is a whole lot better than yesterday's title....you should hire someone to come up with titles... so that we don't see any more "Golf Course 1"s :P J/K

I like the pose caught this guy in. . .striding out ahead.

Nice one, Ryan :)

Wow - this is a truly great shot. Such a nice, wide-open perspective, and lovely colors! Great job, Ryan.

Don't entirely inderstand your comments about the green but what you posted it is very effective. I am sure the guy in the foreground has just done a great shot. He looks so jaunty!

Really solid shot. I love the saturation in the grass. I wouldn't mind seeing the 3rd also :)

I'm stoked for "the Lab". Maybe in "the Lab" we'll get some good tutorials on post processing techniques ;)
