I'm in Gillette, Wyoming for a few days. This is another shot from Bryce Canyon, Utah, and certainly won't be the last. It is probably one of my more favorite in the series. This type of wall reminds me of some of the ruins of the Great Wall of China when I was there several years ago. Another shot with the polerizer, which I should have had out the entire morning.
I didn't post over the weekend, but hopefully this week's shots will make up for it. I'm on the road so I don't always get a chance to upload pictures. Yesterday I didn't get back into Casper until around 2:30AM from the wedding out in the middle of nowhere...which is another story for another time.
Another note: Mac users should really view this site in Safari, especially shots like this which contain a lot of blue. In mozilla/mac browsers the sky is more green and the rest of the colors are lightened and faded. Stupied colorspace issues again. I'm editing from my mac for several weeks, so I'm hoping the color looks ok for all you PC folks.

Nice warm colours and the clouds are excellent, so luminous. OK, I just re-read your EXIF info and noticed you shot at ISO 100 with exposure bias -1; the sun must have been incredibly bright! Did you use a ND grad to get this effect?

Fantastic colour and saturation; I'd love to travel someone like that with my camera at the ready.
Looks good here - Safari all the way! Have a safe trip.

Great shot. I don't know what it is, but it makes me dizzy. Trip-y!

This is an absolute knock-out photo Ryan! I think there is a very interesting dynamic between the craggy walls and the clouds.

Bryce Canyon is one of my favorite parks. Before I read your description, I also imagined these stones to be some ancient remnant. Cool stuff!

Really enjoy the light and colour contrasts in the image. They give it a surreal feel.

Nicely mirrored -- fragmented clouds, fragmented rocks. (Or wall, or whatever).
