Thanks for all the wonderful feedback on yesterday's shot. Much appreciated!

Another ant macro. This one is more of a panoramic of the ant hill. While the subject is virtually the same as yesterday's, this shot displays a wider view. Unlike yesterday's picture, this was only cropped on the top and bottom retaining it's full width. I have also included this "panoramic" view in a larger version. (Be sure to enlarge to full size once the image loads.)

This is a contextural ant portrait!

Love the way these guys are always busy come what may. True society.

It boggles my mind that these. are. ants. And now you'vegot me drooling over your macro lens (thanks!) ;) -- really incredible.

Drooling over the lens... check!

Okay after seeing yesterday's and today's I've figured out what sells these most for me. I mean, there is so much to say about them. For example, capturing red ands on brown dirt and maintaining contrast? Well you go try it and tell me how easy it is, so there is that. But the biggest one for me is the angle. By paying that price for these shots, you have put us inside the world of the ant. Allowing us to be participants, rather than god like, bird's eye observers.

Really, really, really well done.

Awesome! That is great. To see these little guys on this level makes them take on a different light. Usually we see them looking down from up above and just see them as little pests. Here you see them living and surviving. Very interesting!

This opens one up to a whole other world. Amazing what happens just below our feet and usually unnoticed. Great shots (this one and the previous!).
