I'm Lincoln, Nebraska (where we lived before we moved to the Phoenix area) visiting friends for several days. We're finally heading west now and will hopefully be back in Phoenix Thursday evening.

We went to church with the Curriers and spent part of the day yesterday in Allison, Iowa. I met Rebekah, a fellow Christian blogger, online several months ago. Their hospitality was much appreciated, and it was a lot of fun to get to know their family. I haven't had a chance to upload any photos from Allison since Mom and I just pulled in to Lincoln, but Bekah has some shots already uploaded.

Oh yeah, and this is another shot from Zion Canyon.

I love the sky, and the criss-crossed rock formations in the foreground. Nice detail.

Shooting from this angle makes the viewer look very small, the height is awesome and the photo shows it very well. Good one.

Beautiful shot. Great detail and clarity. Now how come I can't get my 300d to do that?? :)

Beautiful. You might add a little fill light. The whole picture just seems a bit underexpose by maybe a .3 or .5 stop.

Stunning. The contrast of colour and the perspective upward is amazing, and how perfect is the very gracious cloud to have placed itself so? ;-)

Love it and, can I have it as a poster?

Hmm...it does appear a little dark. The red, as well as white rocks aren't underexposed, so it must be the sky, which was darkened by the polerizer. I kind of liked it, but it could have been a little overdone...not by 1/2 a stop though. ;)
