This was taken at Ironwood, a Christian camp in the California desert.

I'm leaving today for Six Flags Magic Mountain with my college youth group. I won't be back until late Tuesday, so my photoblog will be on autopilot for the next several days. I will also be away from email, so I'll get back to you as soon as I return.

Quite the interesting staircase... It's out there in the middle of nowhere...As for the photo... looks like something off a scene of an old western like Gunsmoke or something... cool!

A strong challenging image. Asks a lot of questions - Why? Where? Who built it?

Love the lead in and the strong shadow too Ryan - see you when you return.

I love the shadow and the stairs, but it seems the horizion is lacking in contrast. . .or something.

Good shot, Ryan

Great B&W photograph, lovely shadows of that lonely old handrail. It certainly does make you think 'What's that doing there?'

a very inspiring image. it gives a lot to think about . . . where does the path lead? and who is taking it? is it the photographer or the viewer?

sorry, philosophical mood.

Beautiful scene. Interesting that this doesn't appear to lead anywhere.
