Lush, green landscapes, and deep blue afternoon skies...not exactly the desert. To me this photo has just the right amount of simplicity, some well placed clouds (all by me, of course)...*sarcasm*, combined with vivid colors for an almost surreal, but believable scene.
Taken on the way back to from Norfolk, Nebraska, 2 hours out of Lincoln (the location of our previous residence). The polerizer gave the sky a much needed punch of blue.

If you're saying you Photoshopped those clouds in there, then color me impressed. Gorgeous colors, wonderfully minimalistic.

No, no photoshopping...just a straight image. The clouds were placed there by the wind and weather patterns. :) I rarely, if ever, "photoshop" my pictures. I try to stick to "darkroom" procedures.
Sorry, guess I should have explained better...just being sarcastic. :)

Sorry. Late. Tired. Glad to know you were being sarcastic :-) Still a nice, nice image. Thanks for clearing up the confusion.

Wonderful simple landscape - wonderful colours.

Excellent prairie scene, and definitely not a desert landscape :)
The colors are nice and vibrant. I've never used a polarizer. Maybe I need to pick one up and give it a try. I have another friend that swears by them.

Ryan beats the default Windows background "bliss"....again.
Great contrast and color.

It remided me of the colors and locations of the 1987 movie "Out of Rosenheim (Bagdad Cafe)". Awesome colors.

Gorgeous. Another of those shot I could just look at for ever. You are fast becoming a master of landscapes, Ryan. :-)

Great landscape. Lovely colors and, of course, framing by the photographer.

Very simple and a great shot. Nice use f thirds. Great contrast throughout. On top of that, the scene is peaceful. Maybe a tad too much deep blue in the sky - maybe that's the result of the polarizer, but in any case it is a great shot!

wow, you most certainly caught the spirt of all those . . . fields . . . surrounding norfolk. and you found some trees! wow! lol. it is a very serene area though, and very beautiful, even if a bit boring. i love the pic.

Yes, the blue sky would be the result of the polerizer, but I think that was kind of the idea. ;) It is possible to overdarken the sky, but I believe I'm a ways from that yet...

I very like the different tones of colors in this shot. The contrast is perfeect. Very nice composition.
