Another Nebraska shot; this time at the corner of 40th and Nebraska Hwy in Lincoln. I wouldn't have needed to, but I did compose this of two separate images (not a raw image processed twice...though that would have been just as good). I was debating about whether to even combine the images, but the sky was a bit blown out and boring; the majority of the photo is unchanged. Also a nasty lense flare, but it adds color, no? :P

Something about traintracks makes me feel that there is much more to photographing them than simply getting the lines right. This is an amazing shot.

I love how the eye follows the trail..... and the sun is also a nice addition.

Personally, I love things like lens flare and oddities, that, to me, is what photography is all about, those mechanical things that creep in when taking maybe a benign shot. The unexpected can and usually does happen, with sometimes, interesting results.

I think the lens flare adds that extra creative sparkle to this snap. The best part of the flare is the one right at the bottom of the photograph... great sublime colors.

Wow! Love the perspective and the radiating sun. The power line running across the top of the frame adds a great dimension here. The lens flare in both corners brings out the idea that the sun was powerful. Really great shot, Ryan!

I really think the lens flare adds to the photograph. The colors, composition and lighting are all excellent. Great shot!

Simply beautiful. Just add music! (blues or country obviously)

Lovely. Great light, good perspective with the leading line, I love the colour and the lens flare just adds to the atmosphere.

I agree the lens flare adds to this shot. The lighting's really nice, and you captured a good angle ~ I like the depth of this picture.

a very beautiful picture. i'm actually listening to the Edward Scissorhands' soundtrack and track 3 fits the picture wondefully.
my favorite part is the little ruby fairy in the bottom corner. it looks so happy! (yes, I know it's just a glare . . . )

Excellent work on the dual composition. Subtle yet very effective.

I like the way the lighting leads your eye to the "doorway" between the trees rather than down the track. Even weeds can be beautiful with great lighting!
