8,185,344: the number of pixels at which I'm now currently shooting, and more importantly the 8.2 million pixels of the legendary Canon 20D. After almost two years with my digital rebel, I have finally upgraded. I thought about upgrading to the Rebel XT, but decided to go with the 20D for various reasons. More on that later...
This is the first offical shot from my new baby. It arrived FedEx yesterday and I haven't gotten a chance to shoot with it much. I am meeting Abe today for lunch and hopefully some shooting afterwards. After having shooting relatively little over the past few months (except for my trip to the Midwest), it's time to get those shutters clicking again!

Congratulations on purchasing a 20D! I recently got one myself :)
Also, great picture to inaugurate your new camera. The flower blends very nicely with the background.

I like just the tone and sence of this photo. So quietly and calm.....

Woohhooo! 20D in action. It must be very excited when unwrapping Fedex careful packaging. Haha! This is really good for first shot with your new baby, 20D! Can't wait to see more. Hehe!

Congrats on your new toy - and great that you went for the 20D, I think it's far superior than the XT. (Did you just trade your old camera in? I'm having thoughts about doing the same.)
Beautiful shot. Well done :-)

Great decision Ryan. The 20D is outstanding and is no doubt a great match with your abilities. I'm looking forward to some great images!

I actually went the opposiet route as you. Went to the Xt instead of the 20d, mainly because of my cash flow -_-
But hey, Xt has treated me pretty well.
Interesting shot. I would've preferred a deeper DOF, so the flower edges aren't that blurry, but I do like this more soft focus effect. Well shot.
