Tomorrow marks a milestone for this photoblog. I'm sure some of you can guess what it is. Be sure to stop by tomorrow for the celebration!

Sometimes I will burn off excess gray areas, as can be seen in this shot, to "clean up" a photograph (specifically highly contrasted macros) which usually gives it a more studio-like appearance, but I decided to leave them this time with the flower to give it a more natural appearance.

The title of this shot also speaks of the unknown around the flower...the black abyss, full of uncertainty.

This picture is different than others I've seen you do! The shades and lighting give me a feeling of the petals being guilded. When I used to paint I used a gold leafing that would give a shimmer similar to this. Praying for your exam on Monday.

this picture is . . . beautiful. it's very elegant. Shostakovich's Piano Concerto No. 2, mvt 2 Andante -- listen to it, it most definately fits. :)

It reminds me of those porcelain flowers you sometimes see. I'm glad you left those grey background areas in - otherwise I wouldn't have known they were gone. Or something. :)

The tones of this shot reminds me of an art deco style. It's a gorgeous shot thanks for sharing it.
