The rating system isn't "gone", but rather hidden. I inserted an option in the cp (control panel) that controlls the level of feedback: 1. All feedback, 2. Comments only, 3. Ratings only, 4. No feedback. The settings are individually set for every picture, so you will still be able to go back and rate previous photos, and I have the option of making each photo rateable or not rateable, and for now, it is the latter.
Comments are welcome and encouraged, however!
But do me a favor and offer constructive critisism. If you don't particularly like the photo, you don't have to leave a comment. You never have to leave any comments, but positive comments are encouraged.
Thanks.

well, cool perspective, and its pretty sharp all the way through. i think B&W would make it even better?
maybe also it would be better with less sky... but maybenot.
ive always wanted to take a photo like that, but it would cost me £200 for tresparsing lol

I love how you can see the spike in the little platform there. What f-stop was that at, to get it all in focus?
great pic, great color too! :)

Yeah, I hadn't thought about b&w...I don't know why; I should have, but I didn't. It looks ok, but whether it is better I don't know. Both are good.

I think I like the color one bettter, because you can see the green of the grass, the rust on the tracks, and the green/blue of the rocks :)

Contrast is a bit high, and the tracks seem a bit dark on your image.
I do think I like color better, but b&w is a close second.

This is great - I personally enjoy the color the best, but I can appreciate both equally. Good job on both! I also like your comment on comments - about not leaving them if you don't like a pic. I think it is really easy for people to be super-brave as "anonymous" commenters and say things like " I don't particularly care for this" or "your work isn't very good" but I don't find that helpful to me personally nor do I think my readers enjoy seeing that. I think I may eventually employ some similar statement on my photoblog. Sorry for the novel; just impressed with what I'm seeing and reading here from you, Ryan.
