Yesterday I went out to the Superstition Mountains...or rather near them, as traffic delays kept me from getting quite all the way there. I still had quite an eventful day of shooting, however, as the lighting was gorgeous and I was able to get some nice landscape shots with the help of my polerizer. I even took my film camera along!

I'm saving the best shots for when I get my new design up, but here are a few preliminary photos...not bad, just not super duper.

not bad, although, I do wish the sky was a wee bit bluer.... but that's just me.

I changed my mind... I do not wish the sky was bluer... it would look unnatueral if it was any bluer....

I DO wish the sky was bluer. I got out my polerizer several shots after this one, so I have some other's that are quite a bit bluer. The angle from the sun at which I shot would have made this photo very nice withe the polerizer, but it can't be helped now.

I plan to go back up another time or two in the next several days, so I will be getting quite a few more photos.

I stopped at Best Buy and looked at a 20D. Amazing! I must have one!!!! ;)

I really like this shot. . .but its very hard to see anything without looking it at a larger size (which I did) Any idea when we will be seeing them at 800x whatever? Also, I love the Superstition Mountains :D I remember climbing Flat Iron when I was like. . .8.

Anyway, back to the picture, maybe getting a little closer to the cactus would have been nice, as you can't really see any detail in it, but then you wouldn't see as much of that dead tree thingie, which is kinda the subject of the photo (?). Anyway, nice pic!

Hm.. to me, this picture seems too busy. I can't focus with any conclusions on any one subject, on any one location in the picture. There seems to be a lot of blue, a very light blue at that, matched up with too dark of a green. The blue takes up about 3/8 of the photo; I might have limited that 1/4. A slight, almost negligible difference, but these are just some observations. Also, it seems like the picture is missing a frame contained within the photo. This is odd, I know, because your other pictures don't necessarily hold this aspect, but it makes the picture seem like a snapshot. All of these factors combine to make a rather rough image. Not sure whether this is good or bad.

But what I love about this one is the lighting of the picture (except for the lower, left hand corner). I feel like I'm looking out a window it's so lifelike. Ubergood job on that.
