I took yet another trip into the Arizona "wilderness" yesterday; this time I went further on the Apache Trail. It is a narrow road which winds through the superstitions. I was able to get some pretty good photos, though not as many as I would have liked out of yet another 1.35 GB of RAW images, which is about how much I shot on Sunday. I've been filling up my 1 gig, 256, and part of my other 256. I don't usually shoot this much, but it's spring break, and I'm using much of it to take photographs. My new 250GB Segate SATA shipped today, so that should give me some more room to ease my current overflowing 160GB.

The new design is almost finished. I did quite a bit more programming today, and no garuntees, but I hope to release it tomorrow or thursday. I've got engineering design meetings and photography to shoot, otherwize it would have been done sooner.

And finally, a note on the photograph: I wasn't originally planning on doing this in b&w, but when I tried it, it looked marginally better than the color version. After a few more curves adjustments (curve adjustment layers are my new best friend) I was able to optimize the shading for b&w, and I am quite happy with the final image.

Looks great. I like the emphasized contrast.

I just got a 120 GB Western Digital that used to by my family, but we upgraded our main one to a 200gb Maxtor OneTouch II. Nice to upgrade from my 40gb laptop drive...

Great leading lines! I wish there was a little detail in the sky. . .was it overcast, or pure blue?

Could we see the color version of this one too? I am interested. . .:D

Nice composition. Slightly overexposed though, especially in the sky, and that little edge of rock on the left. Can you imagine how perfect it would be if the sky was interesting as well?
