I debated whether to display this as a black and white or color. I decided that the b&w version was just to plain and/or busy (yes both plain and busy...it's possible). Still a bit busy, but better. This is the roof of one of the sitting areas at the Desert Botanical Garden.
The chromatic aberration on this photo was the worst I believe I have ever seen on one of my photographs. Could it be the high aperture number (f/13)? Even with correction (via Adobe RAW) there is still a significant amount in the lower right corner, though I doubt it's that visible at this resolution. The faint red/orange highlights on the left side of the picture are not chromatic aberration, but rather sunlight.
More from this set tomorrow.

Busy, maybe too many high contrast lines? I like the colour of the sky. So B&W shouldn't be better.

Very nice. I like the light peeking through the wood as well. I definitely think the color is more interesting, but don't mind me.... I always think color is more interesting.

Very dramatic shot. I agree - B&W would alter the mood of this shot too much.

wow, great contrast!

I don't think it's busy at all. Very well composed, actually. And I don't notice any chromatic abberation at all. I really like the photo--very dramatic and cool.

fantastic shot. love images like this - some abstract shapes and patterns to lead your eye around. set against a recognizable sky, this has such great mystery.
