I finally got out shooting yesterday evening. We were having thunderstorms, so the lighting was abnormal, not to mention some pretty cool clouds. I didn't shoot a lot except for some panoramics, which didn't turn out all that well. In fact, I'm not sure if I'll end up posting any from that set, but it feels good knowing my trigger finger has a job again. ;)

For this shot, I tried to get the leaves as crisp as possible (f/8) while maintaining iso 100, which is needed when you plan to significantly process an image. All I really did with this (besides brightness/contrast adjustments) was lots of saturation. Quit a bit in camera raw, and then more in PS. Also some hue ajustments to render the colors as true as possible. All standard stuff. If you're in Safari, the colors may appear a bit more saturated than they should, so keep that in mind. It actually looks quite tame in Firefox.

I'm working on another Phoenix skyline panoramic, this time with more buildings. Hopefully within the next several days I will finish it. Thanks for all your kind comments on yesterday's panoramic. I'm sorry if I haven't answered your questions/comments. Been a bit busy lately. The weekend should give me some time to catch up.

In Safari this looks a s lush as I'm sure you intended. Wonderful blend of colour through the spectrum off-set by the silhouetted branch of leaves. Love it!
