This is the view looking up at the underside of the capitol dome in Pierre, South Dakota (pronounced "peer" by all SD natives, of which I am one). Some of the shots of the dome I took laying down and some I set the camera on the floor; I forget the method for this particular shot.
Many thanks to Margaret Fairchild for the title.

Very nice, when it first came up, I was thinking you were in a catholic church, but then I saw the paintings on the sides, and thought that I had seen them somewhere before... now I know I have!! I really like the lighting it's perfecT!!!!!

I always find taking symmetric photographs very very difficult. Something is amiss or the final picture is lopsided or off centered. This one's perfect -- great job!

Wonderful colour, light and architecture. Gone is the time, it seems, when man built for beauty and well as function.

fantastic catch. hope you didn't break your neck for this shot :)

Great symmetry! Were you lying on the floor? It would be quite difficult to bend your neck almost 90 degree to get this kind of framing.
