Time for another black and white image since yesterday's was color. :)

This is one of the drinking fountains in the South Dakota capitol building (from the past several day's posts). All the drinking fountains were marble, but this one was unusually ornate so I snapped a picture. I'm not sure that I got the perspective quite on, but I tried.

Today I played around with the stroboscopic function on my new Speedlight 580EX (external flash for those of you who don't speak photography). I don't konw if I'll ever need the strobe flash setting (I hope I do), but it's fun to learn about and mess around with just the same.

Very nice. The picture seems to bulge like a wide angle, almost creating depth. I like the lighting as well.
