Another shot from the helicopter...not the best, but I'm still waiting for CS2 to do any major Hawaii processing.

Another day of school, processing without CS2, and being sick.

Really rich and beautiful colors.. what an amazing place. You're going to be posting Hawaii photos for a year, I bet, with all of these good photos you're capturing. I'm curious, why should a landscape in F4? I recently did the same with my 70-200 L - I just forgot to stop down.

Thanks, Abe.

Two main reasons for f/4: 1. I was in a helicopter so I needed slightly faster shutter speed, and 2., Since I have an L, I felt I could afford to stay at f/4 in order to remain at ISO100. The L is sharp, but noticeably sharper at higher f-stops, so I almost always try to stop down...many times sacrificing ISO (up to ISO200 :P), but not always....one of the main advantages of L glass is its high quality at low f-stops. :D
