Our flight out of Phoenix was delayed 7 hours due to an air conditioning part that had to be flown in from Denver. The outside temperature during 99% of the flight? -50F...heh. No really, the part probably had something to do with the ventilation, so I guess it's not completely rediculous.

Anyway, we ended up sleeping in our clothes for a couple of hours in a motel in Honolulu, and flew out [much too] early the next morning to Kauai.

We arrived at the Haytt at around 7:30 AM. As I walked out on the beach, itching to get my shutter clicking, I was welcomed by this sight.

Almost makes the frustration of the flight worth it. Almost. Great shot.
