I am really starting to like black and white photos more and more. Perhaps it's my recent bordem with color photographs and increased fascination with the somewhat different aspects of monochromatic photography. So in a sense, I really am "coming to a point".

I agree, black and white is sometimes so much bette than colour, for the last few months most of what I have taken I have changed strieght away to B/W, also I'm now doing photography at 6th form college (high school in the US, I think) which is all done with film pretty much and that is black and white as we do the development, and printing our selfs as part of the course.

With black and white there are so many different things that get shown which you just don't see in collour.

hey ryan,

we met the other day at church, not sure if you remembered or not. anyway, mrs richardson sent me your link and i really enjoy your photos. you have some great work with color and i'm anticipating the same with your foray into b+w. you do a great job of using abstractions and subtle lines, and that should definitely turn out well for black and white. good luck with your continuing work and hopefully i'll see you back at Bristol.

Much different feel than the petal and water droplets in color that you posted recently. b+w helps you focus on the subject matter and mood rather than the details of the pic.

Looking forward to your visit!
