"Rainforest Cave"
General: 3:59 PM on 1/13/06 | Canon 20D
Technical: 1/100sec | f/5.0 | 17mm (27mm) | ISO-100
Lens: EF 17-40mm f/4L USM
Exposure Mode: Av (Aperture Priority)
Exposure Bias: -2
Flash: No

The shadows and contrast render it too dark, but this is a cave...there was water inside as well, but numerous falling rock signs all around, so we didn't venture in. That's my mom and our rental car on the right there. She inherited my old 300D, and is having fun trying it out. It is no surprise that the rebel (or just dslr's in general) are easier to use than point and shoots, which makes life easier for us photographers, but is a necessity to those who are "technically challenged."

The fact that ir is a cave makes the darkness not annoying.

I like it... I am not sure why. Seemingly mundane subject, a piece of Americana, a tourist snapshot but no, so much more. There is something about the deep reds that makes the image interesting.

I agree with Rolling Red...I like the 'Touristy' feel.

Do you photoshop to get contrast like this? or is it a setting on your camera? Or is it that your camera is 50 times nicer than mine because it ISN'T point and SHOOT!!!
