Rain, rain, come and stay,

Come again this very day!

My apologies for the lack of posts recently...busy busy.

It really was raining on Oct 17, when this photo was taken. The next day, Oct 18, was the last time we have seen rain in the valley...not a drop since. 113 days (or 3 months, 21 days) without rain. Now, I think the local record we are setting is cool, but I need *something* to take photos of come spring, and there won't be much blooming at this rate!

...Quite a contrast with last year, in which we were basically flooded all winter, followed by the greenest spring this desert has seen in 10 or 15 years.

The color and balance (composition) are quite well done. While normally I like at least some part of a picture to be in focus, this really works well here. But its really the color that makes it.
