I would like to thank everyone for all the comments yesterday; I must admit I wasn't really expecting it! :)
Here is another shot which perhaps better illustrates the desert/snow contrast. Jeff Ambrose over at openroadimagery.com also has a similar picture from the same location. Just for the record, I uploaded this shot the day before yesterday, before I ever happened upon his shots. Pure coincidence!

I must admit I am incredibly jealous of the landscape you are seeing through your lenses...This is such a cool shot, love the angle and the composition is spot on.

Ha no worries Ryan, I know for a fact both us and about 10,000 other people have the same shots. Love yours way more than mine though. You've got everything, leading lines from a fence, cactus, snow, puffy clouds, and a beautiful mountain. What more can you ask for?

What a great juxtaposition of snow, sunlight, and desert. Reminds me of hiking the Grand Canyon in October when we started hiking out of Hava Supai. We were hit iwith a major snow/sleet storm in the early morning and there was still snow on the ground once we reached the top about 5 hours later.

The contrast of the snow against the seemingly warm (colors and temperature) really make this a striking image. Just gorgeous.

This is sweet, Ryan. I haven't been able to get close enough to the mountains to get up in the snow. Only got 2wd!

Beautiful, to see the snow and the warm sun like that... great stuff.

It looks like the desert and the Rocky Mountains got smashed together. It's an intriguing contrast and, of course, a beautiful landscape.
