More of Kauai from the air. When the helicopter made a (left) turn, I was able to shoot pretty much straight down. This is one of those shots. The warm Pacific waters surrounding Kauai are clear and blue. The underwater geography can easily be seen from the air in shallow waters, such as in this shot. I have a few others similar to this that I might post soon.

For those of you thinking this is too saturated: you probably have either a nicer monitor than I (mine is several years old, but still does the job fairly well), or you are using Safari. Either way, I don't feel too sorry for you. :)

I found your site this weekend and was floored by your landscapes and recent work in Hawaii. I'll be stopping by on a daily basis now for sure.

I have an old monitor, too. The colors still look spectacular. What a great shot you got when the pilot made the turn. I envy the folks whose homes we are looking down upon.

And who says "geography" isn't interesting! Great job of capturing the stunning beauty of a tiny piece of the earth.

Wow, it just like an atlas. I wish I have a chance to snap photos from a helicopter too.
