Finally a break from the Hawaii pictures...yay! Don't get too excited...I've got plenty more. :)

These are several shots of the guys shooting a few hoops at our church picnic on Sunday. Extremely bright, mid-day lighting made controlling the light a task. But with the help of my trusty polarizer, I was able to darken the sky in many of the photos (such as these) and use the harsh lighting to my advantage.

Looks like polarizer is a very important filter in your shooting lately. I love the effect. At least it makes these photos more interesting.

oh, sun...its long long time ago. here in sweden is aroun -25celsius, sky is dark and grey, and its realy boring, but when im looking at this shot i can remember that lovley sun we have somtime between may-september. i like those tipe of photos, for me...this is america. few guys playing basket.... :)

Love the wide angle in the 2nd shot, even if it is less active. It gives it so much perspective, like you understand the beautiful day is the reason for the game. Colors are great too.
