Another from the avage series. No title. :P
In other news: I've had my new 19" LCD (Dell 1907FPT) for about a week now and even though it's resolution is the same as my old 17" CRT (1280x1024), it is a welcome change for my eyes. Brighter, crisper, and most importantly no flicker! Unfortunatly, calibrating the color has been a royal pain. After adjusting the red, green, and blue gamma levels individually (to reproduce the best color, as well as brightness levels) it was looking better, but still too contrasted and I wasn't seeing shadow detail that I used to enjoy on my CRT. I tried adjusting the curves (similar to curves in PS) for the gamma levels with no success.
Yesterday, it finally dawned on me to raise the low end of the curves (manually, using vectors). I should have just treated it like a photo and "processed it", but at least now it's fixed and now I can ditch my CRT that's been sitting on the desk until I get used to processing on my new monitor. I wouldn't normally be so excited, but I've spent hours tweaking the color and finally have it at usable levels.

calibrating monitors seems to be the bain of my life too at the moment. I think the colours and contrast of this image are spot on though.

Ryan - what type of calibrator are you using. I have a SpyderPro but still have problems with my CRT and I'm afraid to switch to an LCD.
I'd have to agree with Owen that this colors are fabulous!

I'm curious about your calibration method. I have a new 19" Samsung LCD and have noticed the colors are just not right, though I have no clue about monitor calibration. Neat shot by the way, excellent colors.
