This is the time of year when the desert comes to life...finally. In fact, spring is about the only time there's any life at all, it seems like.

This is the cactus in yesterday's macro. As you can see, the flowers are only several inches in diameter, and the red, textured stuff in the center is what is in yesterday's macro...quite tiny if you ask me.

Sorry about those of you in Safari; the colors are a bit intense and unreal. But only 7.3% of my viewers use Safari. If it's still too bright for ya, you can go buy a copy of Windows and install it on your (Intel) mac via Apple's new Boot Camp which allows those with Intel Macs to nativly run Windows XP; no emulators, no nothin'. In response, Apple stock jumped 10%...not bad for releasing a free, downlodable program.

That's so cool! It looks like the cactus is conducting a orchestra with it's "arms" :)
