From what I can tell, these cactus flowers only bloom at night and are gone by morning. These next few shots were taken using my on-camera flash and a handheld reflector.
If you think that trying to focus at 1:1 is difficult (even though this is more like 1:2), try doing it in almost complete darkness. Focal depth of slightly more than a milimeter here. Even with my focus assist beam it was tricky, but without that it would have been a lost cause.

Just found your site, Ryan, via "Points of Light" and I very much like what I see. I will look at more. Your previous ocean/lake shot is very handsome.

Exquisitely beautiful!! I love the delicate detail and the way the warm rose tone shows through the opaque white petals. One of my favorites
