This is from a rocket launch for a JrROTC outreach event that Daedalus Astronautics, an ASU aerospace student group which builds and flies large-scale amature rockets, put on last week. I am currently working on our website, which should be up by saturday. It will have videos and pictures of past launches.
This rocket was built by a group from the air force, I believe. It has a three motors in series. I'm not sure how high this one went, but with a good motor, and average rocket will max out at between 1000 and 2000 feet. The flash makes it seem darker than it really was, but it still could barely be seen once the engines stopped.
Oh, and don't bother commenting on the "photograph"; this is more of a subject matter post. :)
First day of summer school. I'm just taking one class: Physics II (electromagnatism)...way to many integrals...ick.
