"Treasure Loop Trail"
General: 7:17 PM on 6/13/07 | Canon 5D
Technical: 1/160sec | f/4.0 | 200mm | ISO-160
Lens: EF 70-200mm f/4L IS USM
Exposure Mode: Av (Aperture Priority)
Exposure Bias: +0
Flash: No

Even at f/4 (200mm), the full frame sensor on the 5D allows for a decently shallow depth of field - more than a APS-C sensor.

I find I'm getting in the habit of posting several black and white images, then several colors - grouping them respectively.

Also, I think I'm finally starting to become more comfortable with black and white images. I used to really shy away from b&w, only posting an image in b&w if I felt sure about it. Now I'm really starting to see more in black and white and becoming more sensitive to elements in the image that lend themselves to black and white photography - such as contrast, shape, etc, to name a few obvious ones.

Wow, another weekend already. In other news, I ordered the EF 50mm f/1.8 II lens yesterday from Amazon and it should be here today. (Gotta love $1.99 for one day shipping!). I plan to go shooting this weekend (something I haven't done intentionally for quite some time), so I will be sure to post photos and my impression in the next several days.

I really like this. The sign is so simplistic and the background is so soft. Exceptional.

I feel the clinching bit of detail is the branch on the right, that does it for me, such a simple shot perfectly executed!

Nice shallow focus.
