Another photo from the whale-watching adventure. This is just off the west coast of Hawaii, The Big Island, just north of Kona.
I decided to try a slightly warmer processing - it gives the blue water a blacker look and the blue sky a grayer look.
This image seems much warmer if you are viewing with a Mac (in Safari). It looks much more neutral on a Windows/Linux platform.
Lastly, some site news. I updated the darkest theme slightly, removing the white border. I also added modified the comments/info button slightly adding "info" text and a rectangular grayish background (on all themes). I hope to be adding a "purchase" link soon below each image.

On my monitor, it looks like a moderate amount of desaturation and it looks good. Seems like you captured a good amount of DR in this image as well, which leads me to say that I enjoy the more natural/lower contrast used here.

I leave the technical aspects to the experts. I just know what I enjoy viewing and this is a beautiful image. It doesn't look like a typical shot of Hawaii. The land looks like a desert and makes an interesting contrast with the sea up against it.
