I had originally processed this photo, but thought recently I have been learning of the advantages of using lab color in Photoshop to take color balancing to a whole new level. There are many things one can do with lab color that simply can not be done in Camera Raw.

For instance, the color balance of highlights and shadows can be adjusted separately. This is different than just applying a color balance adjustment layer. With lab color, one can apply curves and fine tune each aspect of color balance.

The adjustment here was barely noticeable, but I was surprised at how easily and efficiently I was able to achieve the result I wanted.

Tomorrow is the last day of summer classes! Then on to practicing (music) and more coding.

Looks like I'll need to start playing with Lab color to see what I can come up with. This one is great.
