Thought it might be time for a macro since I think it's been awhile. I will most likely be taking a 2-week trip to Alaska soon, so I will have really have a chance to focus on photography and some amazingly beautiful scenery. I'm also thinking about trying out time-lapse photography. I think it would be fun to make HD time-lapse videos.

I'm also working on some updates to this website - mainly a shopping cart and a dedicated portfolio. Hopefully I will have it completed by the end of summer.

Just a side note: for some of you this may be hard to believe, but it has been over 11 months since I have posted a flower has appeared on my photoblog. The last instance was July 9th, 2008.

Beautiful, Ryan. The exposure really is perfect. There are solid blacks and greens but the petals are as white as they can be without losing those intricate veins.

Have a great Alaska trip...can't wait to see what you come back with.
