I started out several years ago with a Canon Rebel 2000 (film). I took many, many photographs, but not nearly the amount that I take now with digital. In the past several years, I have accumulated over 25,000 photos too many to count, but my rough estimate is around 35,000 photos. I started to shoot RAW around the beginning of 2005 and since then I've tried to take less, higher quality shots.
Film has not died, but digital is here, and here to stay. Film just can't keep up with the ease of use and low cost of digital. Almost all of the shots on this site are digital. Some of the older photos are
film, and I may post more film shots in the future, but I use mostly digital. I currently use a Canon EOS-20D for my primary camera, and a Canon PowerShot A610 for when weight, size, or inconspicuousness is an issue.

All images are printed using the professional online print service, printroom.com. I have tested several of the top online print services and found printroom.com to be the highest quality and the most to my liking. If you would like to use a digital version of any of my images for commercial purposes, email me and we can discuss resolution and pricing. If you just want to use images off my website for a non-profit purpose, please email me and I'll most likely say yes. Please keep in mind that my images are copyrighted.
Other than borrowing two simple javascript functions, this site was designed and programmed by myself. The design is original, or as original as a photoblog design can be. Browsing the web you will find that there are several basic photoblog designs. Due to the simplistic design of some, certain ones tend to look similar. I did get ideas from various photoblogs, but the design and code is all original. So if you see a site that you think looks a little like mine...go just a little further and you will find another...and a nother...
This site was designed using a tableless CSS layout, and programmed using PHP. It makes use of the integration between PHP and MySQL database. The programming was done entirely by myself, and I am not using any blogging software. The spam filter was also designed by yours truely. :)
I have thought about integrating WordPress into the blog and comment sections (mainly for spam purposes, as I have a fairly well developed back end), but currently have no plans to do so.
