"Phoenix Sunset"
General: 7:26 PM on 5/26/05 | Canon 300D
Technical: 1/125sec | f/8.0 | 39mm (62mm) | ISO-100
Lens: EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6
Exposure Mode: Manual
Exposure Bias: +0
Flash: No

This is one of the panoramics I took while out shooting with Abe. Due to the wide aspect ratio, here is a larger version. I took this from the top of a parking garage. It doesn't having many "city" buildings in it, but I think the building on the left (especially the shape) goes well with the sunset.

I've been putting off stitching this panoramic for a while, but I finally got around to it. The composite image is made up of 6 horizontal shots with a total size of 8895x2055 pixels. The exif data listed applies to all the shots as I took them all with the same settings in manual mode. I did use a levels gradient to lighten the right part of the image as it was very dark due to correctly exposing the sunset.

Firefox on my PC basically quit working. The web developer extention won't come up right and whenever I click on any javascript (like my comments, for example) Firefox shuts down. I've tried reinstalling Firefox, reinstalling the extention, and restarting my computer, but all to no avail. I'm currently using Mozilla untli I can get Firefox up and running again.

Lovely colours in this panoramic view - I especially like the reflected glow from the building on the right.

I love panoramas and only do as few as I do because they lose so much when posted. This is a great looking shot. Sunrise or sunset? You don't say so it must be sunset. I love it. It would look great on a wall.

My comments will have to echo the others. The colors are brilliant. Have you ever printed off a panorama? They really are amazing when you can see them in their full size.

How did I miss this, yesterday? Oh, yeah, I was working.

What can I say, this one I'd pay money for and stare at for hours on rainy days. Marvelous.

Thanks for everyone's comments on this panoramic; I'm currently working on a few more.

Mr. Bassett: it was sunset...(7:26PM according to the exif data listed above). I don't think I've ever gotten any sunrise photos yet; I'm just not a morning person. It's much cooler in the morning this time of year, so I need to start getting up early and shooting.

Zac: I'm not sure what the tower on the left is. It's just a bulding with a tower on the top. Probably office space.

David: I've never printed a stitched panoramic full size, but I did provide a print of the golf panoramic for a friend of mine (the guy in the picture). It wasn't a true stitched panoramic, just a crop, but I printed it on 13x19 paper and it came out very well.
