As I was driving from Denver to Colorado Springs, I ran into this storm, complete with hail and plenty of rain. Where I took this picture, north of the storm was still sunny, so the lighting conditions were quite interesting.

Oh...my...GOD. As soon as I saw the photo, I said, "This looks like it was taken in Colorado." Wow. Great to see another photographer capture what is seen daily here in a different light. Well done.

ryan this is sick. i love how bright the ground is - with the looming death-clouds in the not-so-distant distance.

Beautiful contrast between the golden brown ground and the distant gray thunder storm. Nicely captured the play of lights :)

Did you catch up to the rainbow? We had something similar to this yesterday and I only captured the rainbow.

Beautiful. I saw a storm just like this, with similar lighting, in Mammoth Lakes (east side of the sierra in California). This is quite a good capture of this one, and thank you for lowering the horizon to catch all those very interesting clouds.

A bit Ansel Adams-esc, but still unique to you. I love the way you capture this moment.
