I recently got back to my road trip to Utah this past week covering Bryce, Zion, and Arches National Parks, and Monument Valley. For those of you wondering where I've been, my apologies for not posting about it sooner!
The monolith on the left is known as "Balanced Rock" in Arches National Park in southeastern Utah. I wasn't sure whether to crop out the rock on the right leaving only two rocks and the distant mountains, but I felt the tertiary composition along with the blue sky was the most favorable.
According to wikipedia, "the big rock on the top is the size of three school busses". The mountains in the background are around 12,000 ft. For those of you who are wondering, I did make the trek up the the Delicate Arch and will be posting images as soon.

Beautiful capture, Ryan. I visited the west when I was about 10 years old and still remember scenes like this.

Stunning image. Love the reddish colors of the rocks against the startlingly blue sky. Really nice!

Glad you're back! I'm glad you added the notes about the size of the balanced rock. There's no way to guess correctly, and I saw it much smaller until you said that.
I just returned from Alaska. As you know, everything there is SO big, you really need something in the photo to try to capture the relative size, but the 'something' can sometimes ruin the photo!

I like the three rocks in the foreground with the fourth in the distance and the mountains beyond that - gives the picture good balance and dimension.
