Here is another image from horseshoe bend, and I am posting it almost exactly a month later. I particularly like the lighting - it was raining in the background, but the sun popped out for just a bit. I'm working on a panoramic of this, but I'm sure it won't be done for quite some time.
You can see, even zoomed out to a 27mm equivalent, only a very small portion of the entire scene is captured. Even the previous image (at 17mm true) clipped portions of the river.
In other news, Canon introduced the upgrade to the popular 5D, the 5D Mark II: 21MP, ISO25,600, and it shoots 1080p HD video at 30fps, and all the ammenities you'd expect to find on the current generation Canon DSLR (sensor clean, 640x480 3" LCD, etc). I am hoping to get one by the end of the year. I have been wanting a full frame sensor for awhile now, and have been anticipating an upgrade to the 5D for at least a year. Except for a resized autofocus overlay, this is all I could hope for (and then some) in the new model!
I'm hoping to post more, but I'm trying to focus on school these days, so it might be quite sporadic.

Another good shot of this; love the timing to get the rays of sunlight pouring down.

A wonderful shot with gorgeous complementary colors! I've switch from a 30D to a 5D a while ago and it's great. Go for the 5D II, you'l not regret it!

Ryan, these images are blowing me away. The depth that you've captured is remarkable... so very 3D.

I like what looks to me like film-like color. Nice geometry here to pull me into the frame as well.

Gorgeous lighting and color. The rain in the background elevates this shot from the traditional blue sky. Nice perspective - nice work!
